Dam - NZ Ch Suedanka True Blue Melody (IID Aust)

Katie iswas brought up as a slightly spoilt only child, from a very young age she was integrated into the slightly older puppy yard and has grown up with Demi & Elle who are 4-5wks older then her and much stronger.  But she has taken it all in her stride.

I didnt intend on keeping this young girl but she has inserted herself into the heart of my husband which means she had every chance of staying and as time has progressed I have realised i was very lucky to keep this young girl.

She entered the show ring at 6mths old winning RCC behind her over acheiving Aunty Diva.

She has now won;

2 x Puppy of Group
4 x Allbreeds Puppy in Show

NZ Champion title the first weekend she was eligible!

She was campaigned in the Upper North Island by Stephen, Michelle and Charlie and I am grateful the superb care they took of our girl.  Katie is now retired from the show ring and is living a life of luxury as a well loved pet, she will be coming back to Suedanka in the near future to hopefully produce a lovely litter.

Katie is PRCD-PRA & FN Clear

NZ Ch Suedanka True Blue Melody

Tegan is is owned and loved by Lesley Ball.

This young girl sports and impressive pedigree, and developed on to be my pick of the litter, she is one of three pups from a litter of 5 to gain their NZ Champion title.

Lightly shown due to a getting a grass seed in her brow and requiring a fairly substantial amount of surgery but she reentered the show ring and gained her NZ Champion title.

Tegan came to stay at Suedanka in 2011 to have a litter, Her daughter katie entered the ring as a youngster and has titled with ease with multiple puppy in show wins to her credit.

Tegan returned to Suedanka in 2014 to produce one more litter for Suedanka and we are thrilled to her have daugther - Angel - NZ Ch Suedanka Angel n Disguise, she has her mothers fantastic loving attitude and desire to please, Angel has titled easily, I am very grateful to Lesley for her generosity in allowing Tegan to produce litters for Suedanka.

Tegan is now retired and enjoying life as a loved family pet with Lesley.

Dagger is a championship specialty

Reserve Best in Show winner at 15mths old.

A multiple Specialty CC winner, and mulitiple Best of Group winner.

Rarely beaten for the DCC award he was a consistant winning member of my show team in 2008, he had limited outings in 2009 & 2010 to allow his young kennel companions to hit their stride.

Dagger is a proven stud dog, and has produced well boned, well moving, blue and orange roan progeny including;

NZ Ch Westlake Stardust Melody - Imp Aust

I had the privilege of handling Melody as young baby puppy in Qld and was impressed by her cobby construction, superb movement and ring attitude.

So to be offered this valuable young lady came as a thrill, thank you to Colin Peel for giving me this opportunity.

Melody's mother is the stunning orange roan girl:

Aust RBISS CH Kokleone Kastanet who I have admired since watching her win Reserve Best in Show at the Qld Cocker show, the wait for a puppy from her has been very long but now I have Melody!

Melody arrived in whelp and produced 5 lovely blue roan babies to Aust Gr Ch Royoni Hes True blue, two are now NZ Champions.

Melody entered the ring in Jan 2010 at an open show and finished the day winning;

 Allbreeds Best in Show

Not a bad effort for her first show!  The following weekend we ventured south to a champion ship show and she wins RCC behind her kennel companion Diva with a cocker entry of 22!

She then completed her NZ show title in three straight weekends and has racked up the wins;

Intermediate in Show
Intermediate of Group
Best of Group
Open of Group

Melody has produced three NZ champions from her first litter and we have two promising young males to continue on with from her last litter, Melody is now retired to live as a house pet.

Sire - Aust Grand Ch Royoni Hes True Blue
Dam - NZ Ch Westlake Stardust Melody - Imp Aust

Flirt or 'weeny girl' as she has been called since birth. this young lady was a challenge to show.

She was often in the shadow of her well winning team mates, butshe proved herself on many occasions when she
pushed past her over achieving 'Aunty Diva' to wins 2CC's - an achievement reached by very few others.

Flirt gained her NZ Champ title at 14mths old.
1 Junior of Group

Flirt was lightly shown in 2011 with only one outing but was awarded
"Intermediate in Show"
at The Auckland Spaniel club Championship show.

Flirt is now retired and living in a lovely pet home where she is enjoying her retirement as a house companion.

Aust & NZ Ch Ashmere Sweet Sweet Love At Suedanka - Imp Australia

Evie is my foundation bitch, she has also been a wonderful show girl in NZ winning;

 Allbreeds Best in Show

Many Specialty Best in Show

Best of Breed - NZ National Dog Show 2006

Auckland Spaniel Club - Dog of the Year

In the whelping box, she produced champions in 3 countries;

NZ Grand Champion Suedanka Dared to Dream

Australian BIS Ch Ashmere unforgettable

Aust Ch Suedanka Luv is Bak At Penita

Canadian Ch Ashmere Yarra Do

Canadian Ch Ashmere Southern Star

Evie retired after a Best in Show win, sadly she was tragically taken before her time in November 2010 at 10.5yrs old.

Bred by Julie Burbidge - Ashmere Kennels, Evie has been the most amazing producer for Suedanka and Ashmere.

Corsair Champions Campaigned at Suedanka

The following dogs were housed, campaigned and shown by Suedanka, but have now returned to Corsair Kennels, they are greatly missed.

Unfortunately none have been able to contribute to the future of Suedanka.

NZ Ch Corsair Wild Berry

Retired with over 50 CC's, and

 Specialty RBIS win

Emily was my pride and Joy, a lovely, outgoing girl with such effortless movement and a constant desire to please, she was entrusted to me by Trevor and Beth Warman for 5 years.

Tragically she was diagnosed with PRA by opthamologist Craig Irving in March 2005 and returned to Corsair Kennels in August 2005 where she produced a litter to the swedish import Gr Ch Westener Winds Eye At Corsair in January 2006, unfortunately Emily never returned to Suedanka.

Emily's Son;

 NZ Ch Corsair Wild at Heart - "Ruben" dominated the Dog Challenge line up for 2 years retireing from the showr ring with with 40 CC's, and numerous Age in group wins, a winner from the baby class, he had his mothers desire to please and extravagant movement.

He returned to Corsair  November 2005.

NZ Ch Corsair Glamour Boots

"Grace" a consistant CC and group winner, who was campaigned along side kennel mate Emily she was a gentle, soft temperamented young girl, who was very, glamourous.

She retired with over 50 CC awards

She returned to Corsair in April 2005.

Grace's brother;

NZ Ch Corsair Give Me th Night

A lovely boy, who partnered Emily & Grace in the ring until Ruben arrived, he was a consistant Age of group winner, and dominated the Dog Challenge line up with 60 CC awards in two years,

He returned to Corsair April 2004.

 I believe that these four dogs dominated the North Island Breed ring from March 2001 to July 2005, when the winning was then picked up by my foundation girl Evie (above).

The International Visitor

Introducing one of the most titled cockers;

 Int/Hun/SU(u)/Fin/SK/A/VDH/VDH KLB/Den/Nord/Berlin Sieger 03/05/NZ Ch

Sheerclever Out of Reach at Macdolly (imp Denmark)

"AC' came to Suedanka after quarantining at 'Shado-Lans' and stayed for 5 months, in that time he gained his NZ show title, making number 13 titles for this international traveller.

He came from Sheerclever Kennel is Denmark, a true show man, he was always wagging his tail and bouncing around, a dog with a stunning head and expression, and a coat that was unfaultable.

While in NZ he was co-owned by Myself and Terri Davies - his owner in Australia, (Macdolly Kennels),

He left Suedanka the day after winning Reserve Best of Group at Tokoroa Kennel Assn (Judge C Ryan - qld)

AC flew to Christchurch for stud duties at Espaniel Kennels before continuing on to his final destination in Queensland at Macdolly Kennels.

While in NZ he sired a litter of puppies for Espaniel Kennels - black, golds and Black and Tans.

On his arrival in Australia AC picked up a lovely win at his first show, however approximately 10days after his arrival in Australia, he passed away.

Thankfully he has some frozen semen stored and he is able to live in his progeny.

My Practise Cockers

The following cockers were shown by Suedanka but never quite finished their show title mostly due to my need to further my education;

Aswel Leather n Lace - Blue roan Bitch - retired 1 cc short of her title, incorporated some interesting lines from the south island, lacking a little in coat, but always a joy to own.

Omeo Gemma Galgani

Gold bitch, never quite competitive enough in the ring and always harboured a slightly unpredictable temperament, she was rehomed as an early junior.
